To enable the onboard train radio to automatically change talk group, TagMaster’s Spanish partner Simec and the main contractor Mondragón Sistemas, have installed the TagMaster RFID system in the metro of Madrid. The trains are detected by TagMaster track readers mounted on the sleepers, identifying ID-tags mounted underneath the trains. The system will also automatically identify train movements in the underground and may also work as a backup for the CTC.
