TagMaster’s ANPR cameras are the one of the key components to being able to calculate journey times between capture points and to carry out a comprehensive range of data processing functions and statistics.
Our ANPR cameras can be used for either temporary or permanent applications, such as reducing travel times, providing travel time information, improve air quality, etc. All solutions involve the use of distributed ANPR capture points, using either standalone cameras, ANPR cameras integrated to TagMaster JMS-traffic monitoring system or a 3rd party solution.
ANPR or Bluetooth?
ANPR based JTMS systems monitor individual journeys/vehicles along a known road or link. ANPR based technology provides very accurate data for completed journeys. Compared to Bluetooth solutions, the monitoring data do not risk corruption when roads run in the same directions close to each other, for example a road running alongside a highway. In addition, ANPR cameras can monitor and classify different kinds of vehicles when integrated to third party databases.

Our ANPR cameras
TagMaster’s ANPR camera technology provides accurate and timely information to identify and monitor vehicles. Each camera consists of an HD colour camera plus a monochrome camera for the lanes of traffic being monitored.

On board processing and GDPR
All processing is done within the camera and no additional server software is needed. This means that the image never leaves the camera, only the registration number is forwarded to the third-party system, something that is very important to take into consideration when selecting ANPR cameras for JTMS.
