Sweden’s national road authority, Trafikverket, has selected the Citilog’s market leading, video based, Incident Management Software with Applied Deep Learning, to equip a total of 450+ tunnel cameras for the Stockholm By-Pass tunnel project. Citilog providing its market leading Incident Management Solution incl. Applied Deep Learning for Stockholm By-Pass North and South tunnels. With Yunex Traffic as the general contractor and after extensive evaluations of other video detection providers, Trafikverket and the City of Stockholm’s traffic department selected Citilog’s solution. Citilog was chosen as solution provider based on the ability to provide the highest reliably and the lowest false alarm-rates, additional to all the required incident detection functionalities, such as detection of incidents, congestion, slow vehicles, wrong way driving, debris/lost goods and pedestrians.
Results
The Swedish end customer Trafikverket conducted a comprehensive comparison test for the Stockholm by-pass project, which involves an 18 km tunnel with 550 AID cameras to be installed over five years. Among various AID solution providers, Citilog’s Incident Management solution emerged as the top choice due to its exceptional accuracy, reliability, low false alarm rate, and its ability to detect and distinguish various incident types, vehicle classes, and even pedestrians throughout the tunnel.
Conclusion
The installation and deployment of the Citilog AID Incident Management software will start from Q3 2023 onwards. This project is the biggest Citilog IM project within Middle Europe in the company’s 30 years’ history. Upon its successful roll-out phase and execution over the next couple of years, it is expected to initiate subsequent similar projects in other European capitals and in particular it will contribute to the future closer cooperati on among Citilog and Yunex/Siemens.
