The CT45 ANPR Camera has 2 cameras built in, an Infrared (IR) camera and a colour overview camera.
By default, the CT45 will only use its IR monochrome camera for ANPR, and its colour camera provides an overview picture.
However, as illegal / non reflective plates can be a real problem at some sites, it is possible to enable the CT45’s colour overview camera to be configured for secondary ANPR to capture non-reflective plates.

Here you can see a great example of how sometimes the colour camera can win. The IR camera had a good go, but you can see just how problematic doctored plates can be to an IR camera.
