Ports, mines, steel mills and similar environments require a very high level of security. Many different kinds of vehicles – containers, trailers, cars and large trucks – operate in or pass through restricted areas.

For container and general cargo ports, the TagMaster system can be used to handle incoming and outgoing port traffic in a completely automated, “pass-through” mode that is faster, more efficient and more reliable than ever before. RFID solutions allow authorised vehicles to pass in and out of restricted areas without having to stop. An anti-pass-back feature allows only one vehicle per tag to enter. The system ensures a high security level and eliminates congestion in the gate area; its fully automated process saves time and minimises manpower. Steel mills, mines and other industrial areas need to prevent unauthorised people from accessing restricted areas, while at the same time enabling efficient, convenient and secure handling of cargo and goods. Long queues often form at the gates of industrial plants, with vehicles waiting to enter or leave. Each truck often carries a load of 75 tons, which makes frequent stops and starts both time-consuming and environmentally unfriendly. Thanks to TagMaster’s access solutions and RFID products, trucks with authorised tags can be automatically identified by long-range readers before reaching the gates, allowing them to pass through without stopping.
