Long Range RFID Readers Controls Hydraulic Bollards
Automatically raised and lowered bollards are being installed more and more often in cities for the purpose of increasing security, regulate traffic or to protect pedestrians.
The TagMaster LR-6 Reader is optimised for vehicle access and security applications that requires hands-free long-range identification. With a built-in controller and a tag placed behind the windshield, it possible to integrate the reader with a range of products, such as bollards, gates, or barriers.
Automatic bollards can among many things be used in connection with bus traffic regulations. Only authorized busses have access, and the bollards are lowered into the ground when the bus approaches and go straight up again when the bus has passed.
In addition to access control in city centres and pedestrian streets, bollards can also be used for high security facilities, such as sensitive industries, stores or banks. Terror security bollards are used in connection with particularly sensitive facilities such as airports and public buildings (above).
